Welcome to the Cavendish Hotel
We are so pleased that you have visited our hotel’s brand new website.
There has been an Inn here for so long that is uncertain when it was first built. It became part of the Devonshire family’s estate around 1830 when it was acquired from the Duke of Rutland. It was named the Cavendish (formerly the Peacock Inn), after extensive renovations in 1975.
You will find peace within the building, with its elegant rooms and magnificent views over the Estate towards Chatsworth itself. Add to this the hotels enviable location, close by so many other wonders of the Peak District and one starts to appreciate the possibilities of a memorable stay.
